I have always been quite crafty. I remember as a kid laying on the living room floor with a roll of tap or anything round. I would draw around it to make a circle and then I would start filling it in with rainbow colored lines in wavy patterns. Rainbow colors were my favorite but occasionally I would experiment with other color patterns. By the time I was 12 or 14 I had my own scroll saw and belt sander. I spent hours out in our shed cutting wood into shapes. I used and abused that saw; making it do way more than the owners manual said it was capable of!! I still have the belt sander!!!
Fast forward to 2020, wife of 27 years, mother of 2 grown boys, registered nurse and a yearning to create again. I bought a Cricut machine and found an awesome Facebook group called Club Chaos and a blog called My Designs in the Chaos. This was just what I needed to start creating again. I started in February with Valentine's crafts
Quickly moved into Spring and Easter items and did my first craft show/vendor fair. It did not go quite as planned but I stuck it out. My Facebook group did a 5-day challenge in July with a Christmas theme and that got the ball rolling to get stocked up on fall and Christmas stuff for more shows. I had done lots of Christmas ornaments in the past so I started there and quickly expanded into signs and other holiday decor items.
The Holiday Season went well and I have decided to take my business to the next level. I found a couple of nice ladies to build a website for me. I am starting this blog and I am also going to be hosting crafting groups each month or so. Not only do I love creating items to beautify your home but I love expressing myself in my artwork as well. I have started an art journal and try to put something in it each day. I would love to connect with others who art journal so please reach out if you are interested.
